KETO Friendly Steak & Mushroom Kebab

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 lbs Sirloin Steak*

  • 1 tsp Olive Oil

  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp Sea Salt

  • 1 tbsp Freshly Ground Pepper

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter

  • 4 stems of Rosemary

  • 1 Jar of Sliced Mushrooms

  • 1 Garlic Clove

STEPS

  • Using your cutting board, unpackaged your steak*, and begin to cut the meat into 1 inch bites. Trim away any fat and place the unwanted pieces in plastic bag for disposal later.

  • After your steak has been cut, place the pieces in a medium bowl.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400° F for 5 minutes.

  • While your air fryer is heating up, add olive oil, mushrooms, sea salt, fresh ground pepper and Italian seasoning to your bowl. Using a spoon, carefully stir the ingredients until the steak and mushrooms are evenly covered.

  • Using wooden or metal skewers, alternate between meat bites and mushrooms until skewer is full. (Note: Placing metal skewers in the air fryer is safe, but they will be hot when removing them, so be careful!)

  • Once the air fryer is heated, place your disposable air fryer liner in first, then place a row of Rosemary stems along the bottom of the air fryer and put the skewers on top in a single layer and cook them at 400° F for 4-7 minutes or until desired doneness*. (Note: We recommend using a rack to cook your skewers on. If your air fryer does not come with one, they can be purchased separately. Rotate the skewers for even cooking if necessary.)

  • While the meat pieces and mushrooms are cooking, place 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in your small microwave safe bowl. Using your garlic press, squeeze 1 clove (or more if you desire) into the small bowl with the butter.

  • Place the small microwave safe bowl into the microwave for 15 seconds. Cook ingredients until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant. Stir when finished.

  • Once the skewers are finished cooking, carefully remove them from the air fryer to your plate.

  • Once the Kebabs are plated, use the small bowl of butter and garlic as dipping sauce.

  • Place Rosemary stems on Kebabs for additional fragrance.


Air fryers are very popular and are a great tool for cooking in-cab recipes, however, there are things to consider. Storage, for one. Be sure that you have enough storage space to securely and safely store appliances when they are not in use. Also, be sure your inverter can handle the wattage. Some air fryers require at least 1600 watts or more to function so be sure your electrical system can handle the task. Also, when using an air fryer in-cab, use the disposable liners when cooking. It will make clean-up much easier.
